A3C Hip Hop Festival 2014 !
The A3C Festival celebrated their 10th year in Hip Hop was one of the best this year. Heart Beats and Hip Hop, Inc. was graciously allowed to take part in the panel discussion "Using Gifts for Good!" Moderator Ms. Shanti Das, music industry executive and veteran; Dj Knotts, Co-founder of Hip Hop Founder Gives Back; myself Doc Bintu, Mrs. Roberta Shields (Ludacris' Mom) from the Ludacris Foundation and Ms. Ebony Barley, from Grassroots and Charity Professional from the City of Atlanta. This was such a spirited and beautiful discussion about people who love hiphop who have decided to make giving back a dedicated part of our daily lives.
HeartBeats and Hip Hop, Inc. was also blessed to be apart of the "Best Block Party Ever" on community row at the A3C Festival. The other wonderful organizations included Hip Hop Gives Back, The Atlanta Medical Center, The National Urban League We met many people in the community and had great discussions about what is ailing the urban and hip hop community. We also gave away condoms, water as well as t-shirts and information about our organization. Most of all we had fun !
